philosophy
Our brand name originates from Scottish Gaelic and means pure, true and authentic. Since the beginning, our ultimate goal has been to encapsulate the finest quality skincare ingredients. We source only the best ingredients as locally as possible, supporting British businesses whilst striving to keep our carbon footprint to a minimum. Our products are natural, vegan-friendly, cruelty-free and free from parabens, sulphates, silicones and other chemical no-no’s. We use organic oils and organic essential oils naturally enriched with healthful vitamins along with specific beauty and therapeutic actives. Each ingredient is selected based on its functionality.
Our approach is, and always will be to encompass sustainable, ethical and organic principles in everything that we do.
Our skin is exposed to an increasing number of pollutants on a daily basis and skin sensitivity is on the rise. Today there is a much greater awareness regarding what we expose our bodies to and more and more people are turning to natural skin care. FIOR provides a range of natural products with exceptional ingredients to promote glowing, vibrant, healthy skin.
organic ingredients
Our organic oils are sourced from suppliers who have earned The Soil Association Certification which assures that they have been produced in a manner that's ecologically sustainable and harmonious. Our ingredients are sourced from a small network of suppliers who we trust. Each certified organic ingredient is grown and harvested ethically and minimally so that the integrity of the plant is maintained, delivering potency and quality. No synthetic chemicals, processes or genetically modified (GMO) ingredients have been used in our products.
plant extracts
Advanced extraction methods allow us to maximise the beneficial and age-defying properties unique to each extract.
Active natural plant enzymes, such as Pisum Sativum, proven to give anti-ageing protection of dermal proteins, help protect your skin against free-radical damage along with other antioxidant benefits. Pisum Sativum protects collagen and elastin against the detrimental effects of proteases activated during ageing and stress, increasing skin firmness and elasticity.
AHAs stand for Alpha Hydroxy Acids, which act as a moisturising lipid layer enhancer. We use the naturally occurring AHAs from concentrated fruit extracts, such as Glycolic Acid, to weaken the bonds that hold old skin cells together, which can improve the appearance of fine lines, dullness, unblock pores and result in softer, more radiant skin. AHAs natural humectant properties hydrate the skin and bring moisture to the outer layer of the epidermis. Fruit acids can help stimulate collagen synthesis and bring a youthful vitality and brightness to dull and lifeless skin.
Both Fruit acids and enzyme treatments give your skin a radiant glow by working as natural exfoliants.
ethical choices
Our products are Vegan and Cruelty Free. Neither our raw materials nor our finished products are tested on animals.

airless packaging

We have chosen Airless packaging for our Facial Serum and Facial Cream which ensure safe storage and easy application of the product, dispensing the exact amount required every time. There is no danger that the serum or cream will become contaminated with bacteria found on the fingertips and it is possible to dispense between 95-99% from the Airless container making it the most wasteless type of container on the market. An airless bottle can also enhance product life due to its non-pressurized airless chamber which is perfect for products with natural and organic ingredients.
Airless bottles offer many benefits such as:
-
Excellent protection for sensitive formulations
-
Exact dispensation and dosing each and every time
-
Excellent product evacuation with little waste
-
100 per cent leak proof
-
Isolation of the product to inhibit oxidization, bacterial contamination and deterioration
-
Provides splatterless delivery without dripping and clogging at discharge
-
Does not need to be sitting upright in order to pump contents
-
Lighter in weight than traditional pump bottles

amber glass packaging

Amber glass packaging protects our Facial Oil formulations by filtering out harmful rays of light. Sunlight contains ultraviolet radiation (UV rays) that are harmful. In fact, these rays are why we wear sunscreen and sunglasses - we want to protect our skin and eyes from UV ray damage that can turn into skin burns and skin cancer. These UV rays destroy our skin cells in the same way that they degenerate the makeup of essential oils. Amber glass offers protection against light wavelengths within the 10 nm to 400 nm range, this is the ideal spectrum to protect against UV light radiation.
Amber glass assists with maintaining product efficacy and protects formulations over an extended period. It is the most optimal form of packaging currently available for formulations with delicate essential oils.
(The science behind oxidation in glass bottles involves wavelengths of light, which are measured on the electromagnetic spectrum. A wavelength is measured in nanometers, whereas 1 nanometer (nm) equals 1 billionth of a meter. Ultraviolet light from the sun is 10 nm to 400 nm in length. The light that we see naturally is measured at 400 nm to 780 nm.)
